Midwest Pond & Koi Society Annual Fish Show

The Midwest Pond & Koi Society is gearing up for its annual Koi & Goldfish Show.  The following message from Jim Castillo, Goldfish Show chair, relates to a special announcement for the 2006 show.

Show Name: 2006 GFSA Nationals hosted by Midwest Pond and Koi Society

Dates: Friday, Saturday, Sunday August 25, 26, and 27, 2006 

Location: Sportsplex, Darien, IL 

Details: Besides being the 2006 GFSA Nationals, this show will also be MPKS’ 14^th Annual Goldfish Show. Located at the spacious Sportsplex in Darien, Illinois, about half an hour west of downtown Chicago, the GFSA Nationals will certainly be the premier show of 2006. The venerable Tony Reynolds of Texas will judge this English-style show in which many awards in both mature and young classes will be awarded. Besides the more common awards, there will be many interesting awards to be won. In addition, raffles are held all throughout the weekend as well as many seminars on care of fish, judging, etc. and maybe a wet-lab or two. If you’re looking to spruce up your pond or add a new fish to your collection, there will be plenty of vendors to fill those holes. There will also be a koi show going on as well.
