John is the head of the Goldfish Society of Great Britain (GFSB) and is the foremost authority on Ranchu in the west, in the estimation of many people.  He is a leading goldfish judge in the UK, and a breeder of many types of goldfish including Ranchu, Jikin, Shubunkin and Veiltails.  John's fish have appeared in goldfishpages quite frequently.
